Another Misdeed Of Former Prime Minister Madhav Nepal

February 8, 2011: a bench of Judges Mohan Prakash Sitaula and Sushila Karki of the Supreme Court of Nepal on Sunday, February 6 has annulled the decision made by the cabinet of former Prime Minister Madhav Nepal on firing three officials of the Social Welfare Council on October 7, 2009, as they have been appointed by the Government of Prachanda, and has also issued an order to the Council to let the office-bearers continue their work, ‘The Himalayan Times’ writes.

After getting fired by the cabinet of Madhav Nepal, Vice-president of the Council Dataram Khanal, Treasurer Ratna Gaha Magar and Member-secretary Tsewang Namgyel Lama Sherpa have filed an appeal at the Supreme Court of Nepal for annulling the illegal decision made by the cabinet of Madhav Nepal and for ordering the Social Welfare Council to let them work on their respective positions on October 21, 2009.
