Deuba Faction Alleges President Yadav Lobbying For Koirala

September 24, 2010: NC leaders close to Sher Bahadur Deuba defeated in the Presidential election of the NC held during the general convention have alleged President Ram Baran Yadav that he has actively lobbied for Sushil Koirala meeting with the representatives from mid and eastern Terai districts to the general convention at his official residence called Shital Niwas in Kathmandu everyday until the election and asking them for voting for Sushil Koirala in the presidential election making the results in favor of Sushil Koirala and Prakash Man Singh according to the nepalnews.com.
Some other NC leaders have accused the President of directly interfering in the elections right from the constituency level elections, as representatives to the general convention are elected at the constituency level elections.
It is not surprising that the President that can abuse the Interim Constitution of Nepal of 2007 can also abuse any authority he possesses. So, NC legislators need to seek the impeachment of the indiscipline President.
