July 6, 2011: The Nepalese security forces have denied the Tibetan exiles in Kathmandu to mark the birthday of their spiritual leader Dalai Lama yesterday on the pretext of possible violence. The security police have stopped the Tibetans from entering the areas where they have set to mark the birthday of Dalai Lama.
The Katmandu district administration has issued a prohibition order to the Tibetans living in Kathmandu for not holding any rally or a march with anti-Chinese slogans and protests. The Kathmandu district administration also has stopped the Tibetans to carry with them Tibetan national flags.
The Dalai Lama has marked his 76th birthday in Dharmsala, India, the place he has been living since he fled Tibet after a botched 1959 uprising against the Chinese rule in Tibet.
The Nepalese security forces have been providing the Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu with security to avoid any possible gatherings of Tibetan exiles to protest against the Chinese rule in Tibet since last few days as the celebration of the birthday of the Dali Lama coming nearer and nearer.
Nepal has been following the one-china policy means Tibet and Taiwan are the integral parts of the People’s Republic of China but Tibetans are not willing to accept this faulty policy and have been struggling for freeing their beloved homeland from the Chinese domain. However, Nepalese authorities have been not prepared to see any banners and hear any slogans against China in the Nepalese soil.
