Feeding The Most Corrupt NOC

Issue 11, March 17, 2013

By KTM Metro Reporter

March 16, 2013: the meeting of the Interim Election Council (IEC) held yesterday has decided to provide the most inept and the corrupt Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) with one billion rupees for smoothly supplying the petroleum products in Nepal.

The government has decided to loan Rs 1 billion to Nepal Oil Corporation to regularize the supply of fuel throughout the country. A Cabinet meet on Friday evening took the decision in view of public complaints over the supply of fuel, said Minister for Home and Foreign Affairs Madhav Prasad Ghimire, according to Nepalnews.com.

The NOC had been and now is the most corrupt state-run oil company. Every government had used it as a place to grab some money. Accordingly, the staff and managers of the company don’t leave anything to grab. Consequently, the consumers have been the victims of such corrupt company.
