Foreign Envoys And Nepalese Political Leaders

October 6, 2010: Chinese ambassador to Nepal Qiu Guohong has reached Mustang to open a higher secondary school built with the fund provided by the Chinese government; Ambassador Guohong along with an interpreter has reached Mustang on Tuesday, October 5, 2010, to participate in the function of opening the new building constructed with the Chinese fund for the Dibya Deep Higher Secondary School on October 7, 2010 according to myrepublica.com news.

According to the statement issued by the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu, Ambassador Rakesh Sood has opened the district branch of the Nepal-India Human Development and Friendship Association in Salleri: the headquarters of Solukhumbhu district, and the eye camp by the Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh (NNJS) in Lukla. Some people have waved black flags and shouted anti-Indian slogans when Ambassador reached there. Speaking at the function of opening the eye camp in Lukla, Ambassador Sood has said that India is not interfering in the internal affairs of Nepal and wants to see peace, political stability and development in Nepal.

Newly elected President of NC Sushil Koirala has nothing but sugar coated words for the UN envoy B. Lynn Pascoe visiting Nepal. At the meeting with B. Lynn Pascoe today, President Koirala has said that his party has not been against UNMIN and has high esteem for the United Nations. However, everybody reading news about Nepal knows that President Koirala has been deadly against the UNMIN and did not want to extend the term of UNMIN in Nepal at any cost.
