By KTM Metro Reporter
October 3, 2013: Former CA member Prof. Suprabha Ghimire quit the NC party in rage yesterday after she could not convince the party leadership of her rights to have the nomination of the candidate for the constituency number four of the Kathmandu. The nominations went to youth leader Gagan Thapa.
Prof. Suprabha Ghimire had defeated Bidhya Devi Bhandari the candidate of CPN-UML in the elections to the past constituent assembly held in 2008 from the Kathmandu constituency number four.
She said that she should received the nomination following the policy on the party nominating the person elected in 2008 to the candidate for the same constituency s/he was elected in the past.
Stating the unfair nomination she quit the NC party and declared that she would file her nomination as an independent candidate at the same constituency she had won the election last time.
