Fifty Years Of Development In Nepal

July 9, 2013: speaking at an event held in Kathmandu yesterday to launch a CD titled “50 Golden Years’ of Nepali Music” and a book titled "Nepal in 50 Years through the Vantage Point of Himal" compiled by Himal Iron and Steel Private Limited of the Jyoti Group, President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav said that the role of the private sector should not be undermined in the country’s economic development, as the private sector has been contributing to the sustainable development of Nepal, according to the news on ‘gorkhapatraonline.com’.

 

Praising the book and the musical collection, President Dr Yadav said that the book and musical collection would be useful for the readers and students to know the development during the last fifty years. President Dr. Yadav has said that the ongoing political instability in the country for the last several years has adversely affected the economic sectors. He said, “We are in difficult time in political and economic development. So, every one should go ahead with common stand to tackle the present problems.”

 

The youths were compelled to go abroad for jobs due to the slow pace of the development of the industrial sector; so, it was necessary to develop the industrial sector properly managing the available natural resources for creating jobs in the country, he said.

 

About the book, senior expert in culture Satya Mohan Joshi said that the book has carried out the history and progress of the Jyoti group as well as the progress and changes made in Nepal during the last 50 years. He said, “It presents a photographic views of the last 50 years highlighting the economic and social life of Nepal.”

 

Chairman of Jyoti Group Padma Jyoti said that his group of businesses would contribute to the development of the country investing in the possibile areas in the days to come. He said, “We are proud to be celebrating our 50th year of a successful and dynamic company”.

 

The Himal Iron and Steel private limited of the Jyoti group launched the special book and a music compilation celebrating the Golden Jubilee of the company. The book has the compilation of the development and achievement of economic, political, education and among other sectors as well as hurdles to the development during the past fifty years. Similarly, various songs of the renowned singers of the fifty years are included in the musical collection.
