By KTM Metro Reporter

October 8, 2013: political leaders have been concerned with the security laxity. Coordinator of four-party political mechanism Jhalanath Khanal visited Chairman of the interim election council of ministers yesterday, and requested him for the security for the candidates, according to the news in the ‘gorkhapatra’ of today.

Coordinator Khanal has drawn the attention of Chairman Khilraj Regmi to the unidentified people shooting CPN-UML candidate Muhammad Aalam in Bara seriously injuring him, and currently at the critical condition undergoing treatment at the Maharajgunj Teaching Hospital in Kathmandu.

Leaders of the major political parties complained about the lack of security for the candidates. They wanted the government tightened the security so that none of the candidates would need to concerned with the security.

The government has not been able to arrest the culprits in shooting the CPN-UML candidate so far. If we take a look at the history, most of the Nepalese Muslim politicians targeted for shooting had been working for the foreign agents against the interest of the neighboring country.

Chairman of CPN-Maoist Mohan Vaidhya said that his party would peacefully boycott the elections. "We are making preparations to make our poll boycott program peaceful," Vaidhya said while addressing a cadres' training in Itahari, Sunsari of the eastern region yesterday. He urged the candidates to withdraw their candidacies from the polls, according to the nepalnews.com.
