This Time Maoists Blocking House Session

February 14, 2012: disagreeing on the bill on anti-money laundering, Maoist lawmakers belonging to the Vaidya group of UCPN-Maoist have boycotted the House session leading to the disruption of its business on passing the bills submitted by the government.

The Vaidya group warned of not allowing the House to pass the bill on anti-money laundering that they think is an anti-nationalistic. The Vaidya group has been against the government’s plan on suspending the regular procedures of the parliament and passing the bill on anti-money laundering on a single day. Maoists have called for an ‘emergency Parliamentary Party meet’ after the Vaidya group warned of obstructing the House session if the bills were passed without discussions, ‘The Rising Nepal’ of today writes.
