US Envoy Meets With PLA Commanders

December 5, 2010: US Ambassador to Nepal Scott H. DeLisi flew to Chitwan today on a chartered helicopter and met with the commanders of the People’s Liberation Army housed in cantonments there, ‘The Himalayan Times’ online reports. The envoy has met with the commanders of the Third Division of People’s Liberation Army housed at Shaktikhor of Chitwan district on Sunday, spokesperson for the Division Kuber has said. The US Ambassador has shown his interest in the opinions of the commanders about the army integration, and departure of UNMIN from Nepal and also inquired how they have been living in the cantonments so far. The US envoy is willing to help them.
