Form A Majority Government Says The President

Issue 29, July 18, 2010

By KTM Metro Reporter

July 12, 2010: President Ram Baran Yadav has done his duty asking the legislators to form a majority government, as the leaders of the major political parties have failed in building a consensus on forming a new government even in the added time of five days. The Fifth Amendment to the Interim Constitution of Nepal of 2007 has made a provision for a majority government that has been a political curse in Nepal.

Now, the legislators can play a game of buying and selling their votes to put another Madhav Nepal in the office of Prime Minister. We have seen how Madhav Nepal had worked riding on the support of the unscrupulous and fake legislators to bully the rule of law. During the 13 months of his administration, Mr. Madhav Nepal has been the most notorious Prime Minister for abusing the rule of law. He has mismanaged the state coffers causing billions of rupees worth of loss to the nation.

Nepalis will not forgive the legislators if they put the similar man in the office of Prime Minster and let him abuse the laws, rules and regulations for their benefits.
