President’s Entourage Disrupt Traffic
BY KTM metro Reporter in Nepal
On Saturday, June 27, 2009, President and his entourage have disrupted the traffic in Kathmandu and Lalitpur when they have gone to watch the Bhoto jatra at Jawalakhel. President, Vice-president Prime Minister and other ministers have witness the Bhoto jatra at the same time blocked the regular traffic on the route they have traveled for hours causing the traffic chaos in most parts of Kathmandu and Lalitpur. The security has not allowed even the pedestrians to walk on the streets when the dignitaries are supposed to travel back and forth between Jawalakhel and their residences. It has caused not only inconveniences to the ordinary people but also the economic loss due to the closure of the streets for hours.
Despite riding on a bulletproof car, if the President really feels insecure on the streets he needs to take a helicopter that will be better for him and for the common people. He must have forgotten such street closure has caused so much inconvenience to him, too in the past when he was just a regular person.
