Speed Up Amy Integration Says Prachanda

September 28, 2010: Chairman of UCPN-Maoist Prachanda has urged officiating Prime Minister Madhav Nepal to speed up the integration and rehabilitation of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) on Monday, September 27, 2010, ‘The Rising Nepal’ reports quoting the Personal Secretary of the Prime Minister.
Prachanda has said that the Prime Minister has assured him of immediately taking actions on the army integration calling a meeting of the Army Integration Special Committee (AISC) very soon.
The PLA has been already under the AISC after it has endorsed the Guidelines to keep PLA under its control and carry out the integration process. The Maoist leaders have already started visiting the UN monitored cantonments where PLA members are to collect information about the choices of the combatants for their integration.
