Two Persons Aboard A Light Plane Killed

October 3, 2013: two people: one Nepalese pilot, another Chinese national killed aboard a light aircraft when it hit at the Shanti Stupa of the Phumdi Bhumdi village in Pokhara

 

Pilot Stephen Shrestha known for his experience in flying on such a light plane was killed. He also was a proprietor of that Avia Club that runs the flight of a light plane in Nepal.

 

The local police have taken the bodies of the dead to the Gandaki Medical College for autopsy.

 

According to the eyewitnesses, the accident has been due to clouds suddenly rising in the area. Nepal has rains during the last two days.

 

Apparently, the pilot was attempting to land the plane safely in view of the changing weather unfortunately he could not.
