December 4, 2013: the Appellate Court has annulled the ruling of the district court on releasing Sunil Rai: the chairman of the Khitang District Chairman of Youth Force affiliated to the CPN-UML on bail, Chairman Rai has been charged with kidnapping the wood dealer Janardan Regmi, according to the news in the ‘gorkhapatra’ of today.
Chairman Rai and his company have been levying Rs 3 per kg of the exported wood but when they demanded Rs 7 per kg, the wood dealer refused to pay that amount leading Rai and his company to kidnap the wood dealer.
