Whereabouts of Victims Of Ten-year conflict

July 19, 2011: Families of the victims of the enforced disappearances during the 10-year conflict have met with the ministers belonging to the UCPN-Maoist and have demanded to inform them about the whereabouts of their loved ones and provide them with relief, ‘The Rising Nepal’ of today writes.

Deputy Prime Minister Krishna Bahadur Mahara holding the portfolio Home Affairs has said that his ministry would find the budget for the relief of the conflict-hit people and martyrs’ families. Mr. Mahara has said that he has asked for Rs 13 billion for the relief of the victims of the conflict but the finance minister has failed in allocating the budget. He assured the victims of finding the budget for their relief.

Information and Communications Minister Agni Prasad Sapkota has said that the ministers belonging to the UCPN-Maoist had demanded the budget to provide the victims with one million rupees per person as relief assistance.
