Issue 42, October 21, 2007

BY KTM Metro Reporter

On October 16, 2007, the leaders of the seven-party alliance decided to request the Speaker of the Interim Legislature to postpone the special session of the Interim Legislature to October 28, 2007 in view of the time required for forging consensus of all seven political parties on all the political issues, and in view of the greatest festival of Nepalis. The special session was supposed to start on October 16, 2007

The leaders of the NC, CPN-UML, CPN-Maoist, and People’s Front Nepal participating in the discussion of settling the political issues decided to request the Speaker for deferring the special session of the Interim Legislature, and then invited the leaders of the rest of the seven parties to endorse their decision.
