Issuing Identity Cards To Non-Resident Nepalis

February 16, 2010: Deputy Prime Minister holding the portfolio of foreign affairs Sujata Koirala has issued an identity Card (ID) to President of Non-Resident Nepalis (NRN) Association Dev Man Hirachan at a function held in Kathmandu. Madam Koirala has issued such an ID card to her own daughter born of Madam Koirala’s German husband and married to a Bangladeshi.
Ministry of foreign Affairs and its diplomatic missions abroad issue such ID cards to NRNs. With such ID cards, NRNs could get ten-year visa for Nepal and could buy land of certain area across Nepal and make investments in the Nepalese economy.
