On September 8, 2009, former Prime Minister and Maoist Chairman Prachanda has said that his party has been flexible at maximum to resolve the current political deadlock even through an amendment to the Constitution but the people ruling the country have not been serious to do so.

On September 8, 2009, another Maoist Leader and former Finance Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai has said that if the government attempts to suppress the peaceful movement of Maoists using arms then it might cause a huge earthquake in the country.

On September 8, 2009, General Secretary of CPN-UML Ishower Pokharel has said that the government needs to be flexible to resolve the current political deadlock, and the Maoists’ proposal for discussing the President’s move needs to be considered.

On September 8, 2009, Minister for Information and Communication and CPN-UML Junior leader Shanker Pokharel has said that the Maoists have been going on against the consensus politics, co-working and unity of all political parties; however, the political parties have no alternative to going along with all.

On September 8, 2009, Prime Minister Madhav Nepal has said that he is ready to be flexible for the consensus politics and co-working with all, and has kept the door opened to all for co-working.
