PM Deuba Heading To New York Tomorrow

Kathmandu: With a 20-member entourage of ministers and other high officials, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is heading to New York on September 19, to attend the 72nd Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), the news in “gorkhapatra” of today stated.
While in New York, Prime Minister Deuba will have bilateral talks with President of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, President of Sri Lanka Maithripala Sirisena, Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina and Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on September 21. On the same day, the Prime Minister will address Columbia University’s World Leaders Forum, the news stated.
Prime Minister Deuba also holds a bilateral meeting with President of Estonia Kersti Kaljulaid on September 22. Then, Prime Minister Deuba attends as the chief guest to the reception the Permanent Mission of Nepal to the United Nations hosts in New York on the occasion of celebrating the Constitution Day.
Prime Minister Deuba will address the UN General Assembly on September 23; Prime Minister Deuba holds bilateral talks with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on the same day; and then attends the program the Consulate General of Nepal in New York holds on celebrating the Constitution Day.
On September 24, Prime Minister leaves New York for Muscat, Oman, where he will address the Heads of Nepali Diplomatic Missions in the Gulf region and provide them with guidelines on promoting and protecting the interest of Nepal and Nepali migrant workers in the region.
