Agreeing To Enforce Seven-point Deal

March 2, 2012: at the meeting of top leaders of UCPN-Maoist, NC and CPN-UML held at the residence of Chairman of UCPN-Maoist Prachanda at Lajimpat in Kathmandu yesterday, they have agreed to enforce the seven-point deal they had reached for completing the peace process following the army integration; after the meeting, NC Parliamentary Party leader Ram Chandra Poudel has said that the leaders have agreed to enforce the seven-point deal to conclude the peace process and start army integration, ‘The Rising Nepal’ of today writes. Mr. Poudel also has said that the combatants will be integrated following the rules, regulations and standards of the Nepal Army.

"The leaders will reach a consensus within a few days to resolve the disputed issues of the constitution. Constitution drafting will pick up pace within a few days, after the leaders reach a consensus," ‘The Rising Nepal’ of today quotes Mr. Poudel. Mr. Poudel has said that the leaders have been serious to resolve the disputed issues concerning the peace process and the constitution writing; and the leaders will seriously work to finish the job.

Vice-chairman of UCPN-Maoist Mohan Baidhya ‘Kiran’ has said that the leaders have agreed to enforce the seven-point deal; he also has said that his party will not meet the demand of NC and CPN-UML for completing the peace process and the army integration before completing the constitution writing rather the army integration, peace process and constitution writing should go ahead simultaneously.
