Final List Of Candidates For Proportional Representation In CA

November 16, 2013: the Election Commission has finalized the list of the candidates for the proportional representation in the constituent assembly (CA). The total number of candidates submitted by the political parties has reduced to 10,709 from 11,011, as 302 not eligible candidates were removed from the list, the ‘gorkhapatra’ of today writes.
Spokesman for Election Commission Birbahadur Rai said that 148 candidates found to be under age, 76 did not have their names on the voters’ list, 48 have their repeated names, 19 have their names for direction elections, four have earning jobs, one has been convicted by the court, and six have withdrawn their names, thus, 302 names removed from the list.
