Prime Minister and His Deputy Defend State Minister

Issue 48, November 29, 2009

By KTM Metro Reporter in Kathmandu

On November 27, 2009, speaking at the function of transporters held in Western Nepal, Prime Minister Madhav Nepal has said that the Minister of State for Agriculture and Cooperative Karima Begam has apologized, so no need of the state employees going on strike in the Parsa district demanding the action against the State Minister for slapping the Chief District Officer of Parsa.

Similarly, a few days ago, while on a visit to the Gadhimai religious festival, Deputy Prime Minister Bijya Gacchedar has said that the State Minister in question has already apologized; so nobody needs to be concerned with it.

However, nobody knows how, when and whom the State Minister has apologized for her public offense. She has not made any public statement on the felony she has committed slapping the Chief District Officer.

So, both the Prime Minister and his deputy have been attempting to cover up the felony of the State Minster tricking the people to believe that the State Minister has already apologized to the victim and the state civil employees.
