NC To Form A New Government

December 3, 2013: speaking to an event held by the Bhojpure Dawali Samaj in Kathmandu yesterday, General Secretary of NC Prakashman Singh said that the NC would take the leadership of a new government following the people's mandate received in the recent elections to the Constituent Assembly (CA), and the discussion with different political parties to form the government was ongoing, according to the RSS news on ‘gorkhapatraonline.com’.

 

Stressing the need for promulgating a republican constitution to maintain political stability, he said that the new constitution could be promulgated within a year by institutionalizing the agreements reached among political parties in the first CA.

 

General Secretary Singh said that his party would play a key role in promulgating a new constitution building a consensus on the disputed issues in the first CA otherwise would follow the election process.

 

The NC leader said that it was necessary to take the country to the peace and prosperity giving the new constitution to the people within a year and stressed that democratic powers should be united and move ahead for the same.
