Marking The National Reconciliation Day

December 31, 2012: on December 31, 1975, Supreme Leader of the 1990-People’s Movement Ganesh Man Singh and his colleague BP Koirala returned to Nepal with the slogan of the National Reconciliation means reconciling with the then regime called Panchayat run by the despotic king after the then government of India headed by Prime Minister Indira Gandhi made their lives unlivable in India, as they were working for the opposition parties enjoying the benefits provided by the government. Since then, the NC leaders have been marking the December 31 as the National Reconciliation Day.
Speaking at a function held by the BP Museum Committee to release a book named 'BP Koiralako Adalat ko Bayan' (BP Koirala's statements in court) to mark the National Unity and Reconciliation Day today in Kathmandu, NC President Sushil Koirala said that all the political parties needed to move ahead following the policy of the national unity and reconciliation for peace, stability and consolidation of democracy otherwise the country would be at the risk of its existence, according to the RSS news posted on thehimalayantimes.com of today.
