Pat On Nepalese Prime Minister

On December 19, 2009, after meeting with Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in Copenhagen, speaking to the reporters, Nepalese Prime Minister Madhav Nepal proudly has said that his Indian counterpart has highly appreciated his competency. He quoted Indian Prime Minister, “We believe that a competent person like you as a Prime Minister will take all Nepalese political parties together and will be successful to break the political deadlock” according to the government-run newspaper ‘Gorkhapatra’ of December 20, 2009.
Indian Prime Minister Singh must have said that Madhav Nepal is a competent person in the sense that Madhav Nepal has been successful to be a Prime Minister despite his defeat in two constituencies in the elections for the Constituent Assembly held on April 10, 2008.
On December 14, 2009, Prime Minister Madhav Nepal left Kathmandu for Copenhagen to attend a two-day Global Summit on Climate Change and returned back home on December 20, 2009. He got three minutes to speak at the Global summit on Climate Change in Copenhagen.
