Shameless Nepalese Politicians Heading To Making Political Instability
By KTM Metro Reporter
June 2, 2012: in order to save the country from going to the dictatorial system, Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai needs to firmly stand against the so-called political hurricane the opposition is to bring in a near future. None of these opposition guys has the people’s mandate to say what s/he has been saying in public now.
At the meeting held in the official residence of the president for discussing the country's political situation in the wake of the dissolution of the Constituent Assembly on Saturday, Chairman of CPN-UML Jhalanath Khanal has asked the President to take necessary steps to appoint a new prime minister to bring different parties together according to the news on nepalnews.com. Mr. Khanal has no mandate to provoke the president to be a dictatorial stepping over the constitution for appointing a new prime minister. Mr. Khanal shamelessly has ignored the Interim Constitution of Nepal of 2007 that permits the president to follow the prime minister’s recommendations. Mr. Khanal holds the record of leading the notoriously misguided politicians of 19 parties to the president for asking him to write a letter to the then Chief of Army Staff that the prime minister had fired, and stepping over the constitution in 2009. This time, the president surely would not commit the same mistake and follow the constitution and lead the country to the general elections on November 22, 2012 he has declared following the recommendation of the prime minister.
In the meeting with NC leaders at his residence in Maharajgunj on Saturday, President of NC Sushil Koirala has instructed the party cadres to get prepared for a strong protest against the government accusing the UCPN-Maoist of pushing the country toward further instability by dissolving the Constituent Assembly (CA) and unilaterally announcing a new election date, the news on nepalnews.com says. Mr. Koirala has no rights to make trouble to the people hitting the traffic on the streets for serving the interest of his party. He needs to understand that in 2009 the UCPN-Maoist failed to bring down the Madhav Nepal government totally shutting down the business of the entire Nepal for six days but succeeded to earn the apathy of the people. Mr. Koirala also has no people’s mandate to create political instability making troubles to the people. He needs to honor the constitution and go to the people in preparation for the general elections in November 2012.
At a press conference held in Kathmandu today, Chairman of Madhesi Janadhikar Forum-Nepal Upendra Yadav has urged President Ram Baran Yadav to seek ways to relieve Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai of his duty according to the news on nepalnews.com. Mr. Yadav does not know what he has been talking to the reporters in the language any political leader would think twice to talk in that manner. We cannot think anything more of such a shameless politician than ignore, as such a politician either does not understand the rule of law or ignores it to serve his short-term interest.
In a press conference held in Kathmandu yesterday, Vice-chairman of UCPN-Maoist Mohan Vaidya Kiran has demanded to form a consensual government, according to the news on ‘The Rising Nepal’ of today. Mr. Vaidya should know that such a government had been a wishful thinking; the only alternative is to get the fresh mandate of the people. So, he needs to go to the people for the fresh mandate rather than going beyond the constitution.
Prime Minister Dr. Bhattarai should keep the coalition of the UCPN-Maoist and the UDMF intact to fight back the opposition that has planned to bring political anarchy in Nepal stepping over the constitution. This time, Prime Minister needs to protect the constitution of Nepal at any cost, and lead all political parties to seek a fresh mandate from the people in the general elections to be held in November. Prime Minister Dr. Bhattarai should not give in to the opposition demand for violating the constitution rather stand firmly for the rule of law. Every responsible citizen will stand by you for enforcing the rule of law rather than the rule of force the opposition has been advocating for.
