October 21, 2011: Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai arrived at New Delhi with his spouse and the entourage of 37 members yesterday afternoon for a four-day official visit to India.

Indian officials and Indian Ambassador to Nepal Jayant Prasad received the prime minister and his delegation at the airport. Soon after his arrival at New Delhi, Prime Minister Bhattarai has been busy with attending various programs held on his honor.

Speaking at an event held by the Nepal Democracy Solidarity Committee in New Delhi yesterday evening, Prime Minister Dr. Bhattarai has said that he is there to give a new life to the Nepal-India relations but immediately has added that he is not in India either to give or to take but to enhance bilateral relations creating an atmosphere conducive to the mutual trust.

The prime minister has said that both India and China are very good friends of Nepal, and wants to continue the good relations not letting anybody use the Nepalese territory as a launching pad against anyone of these two friendly neighbors.
