Prime Minister Off To New York

September 20, 2011: Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai with his entourage of ministers and officials has left Kathmandu for New York on Sunday night for attending the 66th General Assembly of United Nations. Speaking to the reporters at the international airport before departure, Dr. Bhattarai has said that he will hunt for the support of the international community for the peace process and the constitution writing.
Dr. Bhattarai has a plan to meet with Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, Chinese President Hu Jintao, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, and US President Barack Obama on the sidelines of the general assembly. He also will attend a banquet hosted by US President Barack Obama on Tuesday
Dr. Bhattarai will be back in Kathmandu on September on September 26.
