Issue 15, April 14, 2013

By KTM Metro Reporter

April 9, 2013: speaking at the event of the Madan Bhandari Rastriya Puraskar-2068 award ceremony, Chairman of Interim Election Council Khil Raj Regmi said that the main focus of the government was on holding elections but everybody needed to be patient, as updating voters’ lists and preparing election-related laws were prerequisites for holding elections.

“The task of voter’s list collection, and formulating laws related to it are to be completed at first. The process of making law is in its final stage. The election can not be held without ensuring that all the procedures, methods and other managerial works are met,” he said. He also said that the government and the Election Commission (EC) were aware of ensuring maximum participation and inclusive participation in the CA elections. He urged all people to remain positive about the certainty of CA election without any reservation and doubt, according to the news posted on the gorkhapatraonline.com today.

“Holding the CA election in haste without enough preparation and planning could only complicate the process,” said Chairman Regmi, adding that bearing patience would be the best option for achieving favorable results.
