Suspending Member Of Parliament For Violent Behavior
By KTM Metro Reporter
December 23, 2011: the rebellious member of parliament Sanjay Kumar Sah belonging to the Madheshi People’s Rights Forum-Democratic has broken three microphones in anger at the parliament yesterday, as the Speaker did not give him time to speak; the Speaker in turn suspended him for ten days for the misconduct, and decided to fix the broken equipment at the cost of parliamentarian Sah, ‘gorkhapatra’ of today writes.
Mr. Sah was directly elected from the Dhanusha constituency No 4. He was the state minister for physical planning in the previous government. He revolted from his mother party and formed a new party but he claimed that it was not a party and still the member of the mother party. However, he had been an outcast from his original party.
He hit one microphone after another and broke them all at the parliamentary hall on camera. Sah had been mad at the Speaker and his party chief that had rejected his plea for speaking at the House session. He said that he was to speak and demand the government sent relief materials to the people of his constituency suffering from the cold waves in that area.
In view of the bad behavior of the parliamentarian Sah, the punishment given to him was a peanut. The Speaker needed to fire him from the parliament for such violent behavior of the parliamentarian. If the parliamentarians don’t behave properly in the House session, then the Speaker should immediately fire them so that none of the parliamentarians would dare to repeat such unwanted events.
