September 25, 2011: After completing the mountain flight today in the morning, a Buddha Air plane that has come to land at the Kathmandu Airport has crashed in the south of Kathmandu killing all 19 people on board: 16 passengers and three crew members. Out of the 16 passengers, 10 passengers are Indians, two Americans, one Japanese and three Nepalis. One Nepali was rescued alive but died in the hospital while undergoing treatment.

According to the eyewitness, the plane has hit the roof of a house and then burst into flames causing loud sound at Bisanku-narayan village.

Planes of private airlines have been notorious for flying low that has caused accidents. Last year, a low-flying plane belonging to the Agni Air has hit a hill causing an accident that has killed all passengers on board.
