What A Minister Of State

On November 11, 2009, the state-run Radio Nepal in its 7:00 morning news has stated that Minster of State for Agriculture and Cooperative Karina Begum has slapped on the face of the Chief District Officer (CDO) of the Parsa District Durga Prasad Bhandari breaking his glasses for not sending a vehicle of her choice for her use.
CDO Bhandari has said that he is not obliged to send a vehicle for the State Minister but he has send a vehicle as a courtesy to the Minister; in return, he got the slap from the Minister.
All civil servants working in the Parsa District have stopped the work at their offices from 2:00 PM in protest against the rude behavior of the State Minister and have demanded a strong action against the culprit.
The Home Ministry has apologized to the civil servants for the misbehavior of the Minister of State.
