Chinese Advise Vaidhya Not To Go For Federalism

Issue 31, July 29, 2012

By KMT Metro Reporter

July 26, 2012: how the foreign friendly leaders could influence the Nepalese leaders has been shown by the claim made by Chairman of CPN-Maoist Mohan Vaidhya Kiran for the Chinese leaders advising him not to go for the federalism. Most probably, Chairman Viadhya has gone to China seeking the blessing of the Chinese leaders for the success of his newly-formed-old-name new CPN-Maoist party.

After a 10-day visit to China, speaking to the reporters in Kathmandu today, Chairman Vaidhya said, “I met with the high ranking government officials and the top leaders of the Communist Party of China and during the meeting they expressed concern over the party split and advised us not to go for federalism as it would push the country into disintegration,” according to ‘THT ONLINE’.

Despite the concern shown by the Chinese leaders for the split of the mother party, Chairman Vaidhya ruled out the unification of his party with the mother party as such but he made it clear that the unification would be possible if the mother party UCPN-Maoist were to hold on to the principles of People’s Republic.

At the invitation extended by Ai Ping: Chief of International Department for South Asian Affairs of the Communist Party of China at the time of a three-day Nepal visit on June 29, Chairman Vaidhya along with his consort Sushma and politburo member Indra Mohan Sigdel visited China for 10 days.
