Ultimatum to Prime Minister

On November 1, 2009, Chairman of Madheshi People’s Rights Forum (MPRF) Upendra Yadav with his deputy Jayaprakash Gupta went to the official residence of Prime Minister Madhav Nepal to deliver a memorandum demanding the government enforce the 22-point agreement the government has signed with the MPRF and Eight-point agreement the government has reached with United Democratic Madheshi Front (UDMF). They have warned the Prime Minister of a strong movement if he fails in meeting their demand.

They have also charged the government of insulting the Madheshi people disabling the Vice-president for taking the oath of office in Hindi, and have demanded the government make the Hindi an official language and activate the Vice-president. The disabled Vice-president was the candidate of MPRF.

They have also charged the government of failing in making the state administration, police and army inclusive and have demanded them to make inclusive immediately.
