By KTM Metro Reporter

August 10, 2013: the NC imposed shutdown in Chitwan demanding the release of NC cadres Pramish Rai and Yam Bahadur Karki yesterday after the local administration did not release Pramish Rai and Yam Bahadur Karki arrested on the charge of assaulting a Nepali driver for driving a vehicle with the Indian license plate in Bharatpur, Chitwan, according to the RSS news posted on ‘gorkhapatraonline.com’.

Vehicles stayed off the roads and the market and factories, and schools and colleges were closed due to the shutdown imposed after the administration did not release party cadres Pramish Rai and Yam Bahadur Karki even after the ultimatum given until 5:00 pm yesterday to release them expired, said Jit Narayan Shrestha, Nepali Congress District Secretary. Pramish Rai and Yam Bahadur Karki were arrested three days ago.
