People’s Movement Following UN Charter: Prachanda

On September 22, 2009, speaking at the reporters’ interaction held by the Revolutionary Reporters’ Association of the Tamuvan State Committee in Pokhara, former Prime Minister and Chairman of United Communist Party of Nepal-Maoist Prachanda has said if the unconstitutional move of the President is not corrected in one way or another his party will launch a peaceful ‘Third People’s Movement’ after Tihar following the UN Charter that gives people the rights to a peaceful movement.
He also has said that the talks with other political leaders have continued on debating over the unconstitutional move of the President at the legislature; however, the Nepali Congress leaders are not for doing so; judging from what the Nepali Congress leaders have been saying in public, they are not for removing the current political deadlock by discussing the unconstitutional move of the President in the legislature.
