Upendra Yadav for Vice-president’s Resignation

Issue 33, August 16, 2009

By KTM Metro Reporter in Kathmandu

On August 14, 2009, speaking to the students affiliated to his party at the ‘meet the leader’ program, Chairman of Madheshi People’s Rights Forum (MPRF) Upendra Yadav has said that it would be better for the Vice-president to resign rather than taking an oath of office in Nepali. Vice-president Permananda Jha was the candidate of the undivided MPRF. However, the breakaway party leader of the MPRF Deputy Prime Minister Bijaya Gacchedar has said that the Vice-president needs to take an oath of office in Nepali honoring the verdict of the Supreme Court of Nepal.
