By KTM Metro Reporter

December 19, 2013: speaking at an interaction event in Kathmandu yesterday, UCPN-Maoist leader Top Bahadur Rayamajhi said that his party would not join the new government but will sit at the CA, according to the news on ‘gorkhapatraonline.com’.

“We have not immediately planned to join the government, but the party will move ahead by forging consensus among the political parties and will stay in opposition in the Constituent Assembly (CA),” said Rayamajhi. He also informed that political parties were inching closer to reach a consensus on the formation of probe committee to investigate the alleged elections fraud.

He said that his party would submit the final list of the nominees for the proportional representation in the CA to the Election Commission after the political parties agreed on setting up a commission on investigation into the flaws in the election process.

NC central committee member Dr. Ram Sharan Mahat said that his party was committed to forming a new government and drafting a new constitution building a consensus.
