No connection between Indian Naxalites and Nepalese Maoists

Answering to the question put up by the opposition party called Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on the alleged relation between the Indian Naxalites and the Nepalese Maoists in the Indian parliament, Home Minister Shivraj Patil said that there was no connection between India's Naxalites and Nepalese Maoists quoted PTI by Nepalnews.com mk Mar 11 08.
Naxalites have been waging the armed movement against the government in Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and a few other states of India. The BJP has been concerned with the threat to the India's national security posed by the possible connection between the Nepalese Maoists and the Indian Naxalites.
The Maoists have been denying any relation with the Indian Naxalites, although they hold a common ideology.
