Punish The Culprit Demand State Employees
By KTM Metro Reporter in Kathmandu
On November 26, 2009, the State-civil employees have declared an indefinite close down of the state administration in the Parsa district demanding the government punish Minister of State for Agriculture and Cooperative Karima Begam for hitting and breaking the glasses of the Chief District Officer. Prime Minister Madhav Nepal needed to fire the unruly Minister of State Begam for felony of hitting the Chief District Officer. Following the Public Offense Law, the State Minister needed be locked up for such a felony but the State Minister has been continuing her job not to mention her arrest. If Prime Minister Madhav Nepal is truly elected by the majority votes then why he needs to fear of firing the State Minister for the public offense and warning the Home Minister of not following the rule of law.
If you have read recent news you know that the German General has resigned for not revealing the truth of civilian causalities in Afghanistan caused by the air strike in September; similarly, the Bangladeshi court has given the two-year jail term to two men for hitting and blinding two crocodiles reared at the pond of the Muslim shrine.
Let us not compare our ministers’ moral standard with that of Europeans but even comparing with the moral standard of the neighboring country the Madhav Nepal government needed to fire the minister in question for the felony she has committed. However, it is not happening in Nepal because the man rejected in two constituencies by the voters was elected to be the Prime Minister by the unscrupulous legislators of the 18 political parties.
