He took the regular morning flight of the Qatar Airways flight to Doha, and then he would fly on to Tehran from Doha.

Before leaving for Tehran, Prime Minister Dr. Bhattarai told the reporters that Nepal is the founding member of the NAM; so, the tradition has been set to attend the NAM either by the Head of Government or of State.

Prime Minister Dr. Bhattarai also would hold bilateral talks with the Heads of State or Government while in Tehran. Deputy Prime minister holding the portfolio of foreign affairs has already been in Tehran to participate in the plenary meetings and other Nepalese officials have already been in Tehran to arrange the bilateral meetings of the Nepalese prime minister with the foreign dignitaries.

As a part of tearing down the government of Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai, the opposition coalition of NC and CPN-UML unleashed their cadres to wave black flags at Prime Minister Dr. Bhattarai at the entrance to the International Airport in Kathmandu today.

According to the Nepalese media, the international community in Kathmandu had approached the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for stopping the prime ministerial level delegation to the NAM stating the Iran Government has been holding the NAM summit to justify its building of a nuclear weapon and state-sponsored terrorism, and its intention to erasing Israel from the map of the world.
