No Protection But Arrest Of Nepalis
By KTM Metro Reporter in Kathmandu
On December 24, 2009, the government-run newspaper ‘Gorkhapatra’ has reported that the Nepalese police have arrested two Nepalis responsible for snatching guns and ammunition from the two drunken members of the Indian Border Security Force. They have intruded into the Nepalese territory and harassed Nepalis living on the frontiers, so some of the Nepalis have took the control of their arms and ammunition for self-defense but returned them and sent them back to India. On the request of the Indian Border Security Force, the Nepalese police have arrested two Nepalis on the charges of taking control of the arms and ammunition from the members of the Indian Border Security Force. Nepalis have been protesting that the police have taken two Nepalis in custody rather than giving them protection from the intruding Indian Border Security Force members.
