Cabinet Decisions On Various Matters

March 31, 2010: the cabinet meeting held on March 30, 2010 has made the following decisions: the government has allocated Rs 200 million for providing the farmers suffering from the lack of grains in the corn ears with the relief, to declare 16 people died at the time of the Madhesh Movement as martyrs and provide the families of the martyrs with Rs 1.0 million to each family; has agreed in principle on setting up an industrial security force at different industrial areas across the country; has also approved the Ministry of Finance on signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Japan on Japan providing Nepal with Rs 400 million for the food security; and has decided to pay for the vehicles that have been used by former Prime Ministers Sher Bahadur Deuba and Krishna Prasad Bhattarai, and CPN-UML Leader KP Oli to the Nepal Electricity Authority according to the spokesman for the Government of Nepal.
