Blaming One Another For Political Deadlock

Issue 36, September 05, 2010

By KTM Metro Reporter

August 31, 2010: NC leaders such as Ram Chandra Poudel and Sushil Koirala have been blaming the CPN-UML and the Madheshi leaders for taking the election to a new Prime Minister hostage to indecision not voting to the NC candidate even though the NC has supported the CPN-UML led coalition government of the Madheshi parties, CPN-UML and NC.

This time, General Secretary of CPN-UML Jhalanath Khanal has taken his turn to blame both the Maoists and the NC leaders for the never-ending political deadlock. Mr. Khanal has said that his party is not responsible for the current political deadlock; his party has sacrificed the comfortable majority for the government of his party resigning from the government; so both the NC and CPN-UML leaders need to follow the example of his party leaders pulling out their candidates for a Prime Minister and work on the consensus politics.
