Accepting Rs. 14.7 Billion Of Japanese Loan For Tanahun Hydro project

March 1, 2013: the government of Nepal has decided to accept a Japanese loan of Rs. 14.7 billion for constructing a Tanahun Hydropower Project. It has started off the construction of a 140 MW hydropower project at the Upper Seti Project. Asian Development Bank also had decided to provide the Upper Seti Project with a loan, according to the ‘gorkhapatra’ news of today.

A meeting of the Council of Ministers held yesterday evening at Singha Dubar gave an approval to reach an exchange note between the government of Nepal and Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) for receiving the loan for the Tanahu Hydropower project.
