State Minister Karima Begum Accepts Wrong Doing

The state-run newspaper ‘Gorkhapatra’ of November 18, 2009 has reported that the Minister of State for Agriculture and Cooperative Karima Begum has accepted her guilty of assaulting the Chief District Officer of the Parsa District for not providing her with the vehicle of her choice at the Central Committee meeting of the Madheshi People’s Rights Forum-democratic.

The Prime Minister and the Home Minister have tipped her off making up a story. Accordingly, the State Minister has been telling in public that the Chief District Officer has held her hand and pulled her to his office, so in her anger she slapped him.

At the same time the employees of the state administration in the Parsa district have announced the shutdown of the administration for five days for putting pressure on the Prime Minister and the Home Minster to take strong actions against the guilty State Minister. If they do not take actions then the employees will shut down the administration for an indefinite period in the Parsa district.

The Home Minister has sent another Chief District Officer to work in the Parsa District sending the assaulted Chief District Office on leave.
