China Provides Nepal With 59 million RMB For Two Mobile Army Hospitals

July 23, 2013: Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) General Gaurav Shumsher JB Rana signed off a protocol to receive two well-equipped mobile hospitals for the Nepal Army (NA) at a special signing ceremony held in Beijing yesterday. Chief of General Staff General Fang Fanghui signed off the protocol on behalf of China. The two mobile hospitals cost 59 million RMB, according to the news posted on ‘gorkhapatraonline.com’.

 

Prior to this ceremony, CoAS Rana paid a courtesy call to his counterpart General Fang. The two Chief Generals dwelt on strengthening and expanding further bilateral ties and extending cooperation between the two nations and armies.

 

Meanwhile, CoAS Rana also called on vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission of People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Xu Qiliang at Ba’yi hall in Beijing yesterday. They discussed the matters of mutual interests, and benefits.

 

CoAS Rana has been in China for a weeklong visit at the invitation of Geneneral Fang since Thursday, July 18, 2013.
