Kathmandu, August 8, 2016: The bench made up of Chief Justice Sushila Karki and Justice Ishwor Khatiwada has squash the petition filed demanding to prevent the government of Nepal sending the description of bank accounts of the then Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank Tilak Rawal and his associates to Australia for investigating the probable fraud in printing Nepali polymer banknote in Australia, the news in “gorkhapatra” today stated.
The government of Australia had requested the government of Nepal for sending the detailed description of the bank accounts of former Governor Tilak Rawal, and other people involved in the case such as Hmalbahadur Pandey, Prithvibahadur Pandey, Ramalaxmi Pandey, Keshav Khatri, Uppendraksehari Poudel at the various banks in Nepal, the “gorkhapatra” writes. The Australian government has asked the details of the bank accounts for investigation into the possible bribery case in printing the Nepali polymer banknotes in Australia.
