Enforcing The Ruling Of The Supreme Court After Three Months

November 18, 2012: after three months of the ruling of the Supreme Court of Nepal on confiscating the assets of NC Leader Khum Bahadur Khadka he had made illegally when he held portfolios of ministers in different governments, the Kathmandu District Court (KDC) seized the Mitsubishi motor (Ba 2 Cha 9555) registered in his name, according to thehimalayantimes.com. Mr. Khadka is currently serving a jail term at the jail in Kathmandu 

A division bench of Justices such as Kalyan Shrestha and Baidhyanath Upadhayay had convicted former Home Minister Khum Bahadur Khadka of corruption and ruled on August 14, 2012 to send him to jail for 18 months and confiscated all the illegal-owned assets. 

Also, the division bench had ruled to confiscate Rs 2.5 million deposited in his wife Sheela Sharma Khadka’s account in the Everest Bank Limited, and several plots of lands in Lalitpur registered in her name, according to the news on thehimalayantimes.com..
